WSGA Board Meeting Minutes
August 12, 2006

Meeting called to order by President Paul West at 9:00PM
Finances:
Treasurer Ed Graves gave the following report:
There is currently $6339.02 in the WSGA account. Expenses for the campout include
$365.55 for pins, $871.40 for water bottles @ $3.49 each, and $100.00 for
bandannas. The cost for campout food has not been tallied yet, but he estimates that
there will be about $4000 in the WSGA account after all campout expenses are paid.
OLD BUSINESS
Bylaw changes:
President Paul West puts a motion on the floor to accept new
bylaw changes. (copy attached). The board voted unanimously to
accept. The changes will go into effect with the election for the 2007 board members.
WSGA Chapter Coins:
We will proceed with plans for a series of WSGA Chapter Coins. Brian Parkhurst
has volunteered to take charge of the project if Jon Stanley is unable to due to other obligations.
There will be 4 different coins, one for each WSGA chapter. The coin icon will be limited to
one for the entire state. Half of the profits from the coins will go to each of the 4 chapters,
and we hope to get them ready by November with a 2007 date on the coin.
We may offer a discount to WSGA members in good standing.
NEW BUSINESS
2007 Campout:
We hope to have next year's campout at Lake Cushman or Kalaloch if Lake Cushman is not available
Holiday Party
The Puget Sound chapter needs to find a location to hold their Holiday Party that has a capacity of 200+ people. It was noted that these are chapter events but the WSGA will help with funding if necessary
Board Insurance:
Lisa Breitenfeldt suggested that we get insurance to protect board members from being sued if someone is injured
at a WSGA event. It was decided that we will look into this.
